You descend from the beautiful Wild. When you find yourself in the wild, primal vitality awakens. When you find yourself in the wild, beauty abounds! Her sounds, songs, and winds delight. Your are home. You are whole.
MYTHOPOETIC MINDSET
For all of time, the longest time of all time, for the time most human beings who have ever lived time, people everywhere lived inside beautiful eloquent stories of cosmological origins. These stories grew songs, dances, traditions, rituals, prayers. Every part of the part landscape was a living and participating part of the whole of the world. Interdependence was not abstract. Every one (mountains, humans, oceans, crickets, stones), everyone had a cosmological origin. And every origin mattered completely.
PRIMAL KINSHIP
The plants, the animals, the stones, and the shrubs, moths, birds, forests, lichen, mussels, sharks, fungi, mountains, moon, sun, shimmering stones, and redwoods...everybody is your kin, your mothers and fathers, your aunties, and your cousins. Remember your origins. Your animist mind is your oldest ancestral inheritance.

My trips emphasize being in nature, courting and meeting our local cultural hosts, learning about local cosmologies, time for stillness and silence, embodied presence, good food, conservation, expert local naturalists, walking and being immersed in nature, traditional music, making beautiful gifts with our hands, learning how to say courtesy words, for example, thank you and please, in local languages, music, and engaging with local wisdom keepers.

There are a lot of amazing things to experience, but for me, wild campsite nature immersion on a 4X4 self-drive safari in southern Africa is a singular PEAK experience.
It's not for everybody!! If you have the driving skill and the thirst for action adventure, I can advise you on the entire experience, design your itinerary, and connect you to local booking agencies for everything you need - rental vehicles, permits, cultural activities, food shopping. Whatever you need we can sort through my network.

For those who want a curated camping experience, this is an equally fantastic option to the self-drive. It is less rigorous - but believe me, you will experience the physicality of adventure and full nature immersion. You travel with an expert nature guide and support crew who make your camping dream come true. Lodges, are great! Camping is beyond - you get a full primal vitality reset.
